TIFTON, GA (WALB) - A group out of Tifton is holding a fundraiser to help provide reading services for those that are looking to get their GED.

The Literacy of Tifton-Tift County is selling Boston butts for $25 dollars.

The group provides volunteer tutors for those who need help learning to read or speak English as a second language.

Bonnie Sayles, the executive director for the Literacy Volunteers, said they always put their best foot forward to help those in need.

"We're all about helping people improve their lives, getting a better education and move forward in their careers. Sometimes we're helping people get out of poverty, so that's what we are all about here in Tifton.," explained Sayles.

The Boston butts are fully cooked and will be available just in time for the 4th of July.

You can pick them up in the parking lot of First Presbyterian Church at 217 Park Avenue North in Tifton on June 30, between 9 a.m. and noon.

You can also reserve the meat by calling (229) 391-2527 or emailing tiftlv@gmail.com.

If you would like to purchase a ticket in person, you can ask Vickie at the Tifton Library.
