ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Neckties and lunch went hand in hand at the annual Ties that Bind event at the Albany Civic Center Wednesday.
The event, hosted by Phoebe, allowed community leaders and middle school students to come together and share a meal.
The students were shown how to tie a tie by their paired community leader after lunch.
This was Neal Hardin's second year coming to the event. He said it was helpful for him last year.
"It was keeping me from getting in trouble all the time. Like, I get to have fun and do fun things with other kids because I don't get to do much of that at my house," said Hardin.
Community leaders hope to continue this event in the future.
