ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Chris Bearden of Albany has been the victim of theft twice in the last 10 days.

Once in broad daylight, and the most recent time in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Both times the thieves were caught on camera, and Bearden is hoping it will put the criminals behind bars.

The first time, the thieves stole lawn equipment. This time, they stole his son's bike and broke into his wife's van.

Now, Bearden wants something done.

"We got to do something, neighborhood watch. As a neighborhood, try to watch out for each other and keep an eye out and try to help out where we can," said Bearden.

Now he is taking matters into his own hands at night.

"Ride through the neighborhood and just look occasionally," said Bearden.

Bearden is asking his neighbors to put up their own security cameras.

He said he will be setting up more because every video helps.

"If you could at least get one up it would help out a great deal because the police department spends a lot of time trying to track these individuals down," said Bearden.

APD also put out social media posts asking for community help to find suspects.

They do not know if this is the same person who stole Bearden's things but he has been caught on other security cameras taking from houses in the same area.

If you have any idea who the individuals in the video could be or have any information you are encouraged to call CrimeSTOPPERS at 229-436-TIPS.
