ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The mural behind Albany's Bread House is beginning to take shape.
Artist Mark Dennard has been working on the mural for almost two months.
Dennard was hired to paint a mural of Albany, as a way to remember the city before the flood.
Now, the task is almost complete and a showing for the entire city is scheduled for Friday.
Dennard said there is a special guest attending but he isn't giving any secrets away and everyone is welcomed to attend.
"Well it feels wonderful," said Dennard. "It's been quite an ordeal. We're making it work, we are excited about it. It's great for the city of Albany. It's great for all of Georgia, period."
If the weather holds up and allows Dennard to finish, the celebration is scheduled to be held on Friday night at 6.
