The Pelham High Lady Hornets have a long history of success on the court.
They've only lost 9 games in the last five years and took home the 2017 state title.
it's clear to see what all the hype is about.
With Antonia Tookes departure, a new leader is taking the reins of this class single-A power.
Head coach Jeray Randall was announced last week as the new Lady Hornets basketball head coach.
Randall is the father to third-all-time Pelham scorer, Mahogany Randall, and says he and the team will miss her, but can already see some girls ready to jump into the leadership roll.
Coach stresses his excitement for the team, and says he ready to rock and roll.
"It's going to be challenging." said Lady Hornets head basketball coach, Jeray Randell. "It feels great. They were under some great leadership. I believe that as the team goes on, and some of the younger kids get together, I believe they will be able to accomplish the same thing that they other teams accomplished."
The Lady Hornets will play in a scrimmage tomorrow against the Americus-Sumter Lady Panthers at 3 P.M. in Americus.
