ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

New details on a shooting and crash that happened on South Westover Boulevard around 2:45 Sunday afternoon.

Police are still looking for the shooting suspect in this case, who was allegedly in a gray town car.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Nicholas Green, who was traveling North on the South Westover Boulevard when he was shot.

Green ran into a tree, causing the airbag to deploy.

I spoke with a resident in the area who says he doesn't normally hear about these kinds of events happening in the neighborhood.

"That's the first time I've heard about that in this area, but it's sad to know that a person can be riding down the street and get shot," said Lawrence Jones, an Albany resident.

Green was taken to the hospital and treated for a gunshot wound to his arm.

The suspect is wanted for aggravated assault.

If you have any information on this case you are encouraged to call the Albany Police Department.
