ALBANY, GA (WALB) - School is out and that means the Boys & Girls Club of Albany has kicked off their 2018 great futures campaign, aiming to raise $100,000 in 90 days.
The campaign will run until September 1 and funds raised will go toward supporting membership scholarships and educational programs for the students who attend the Boys & Girls Club.
CEO Marvin Laster said these fundraisers are vital for the Boys & Girls Club to stay above water and they rely on the community.
"We make these types of significant strides to ensure that our clubs are a place where every young child can go without the support of the community," said Laster.
