Suspect identified in South Albany shooting from May

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Police have named a suspect in the May 29 shooting of a woman at a convenience store on Newton Road.

The victim, Andrea Willis, 32, is believed by APD to have been ambushed, and she remains hospitalized in critical condition, from multiple gunshots.

Thursday night, police identified a man in a picture taken from social media as Jarrod Brown, 21.

He is now wanted for aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

APD investigators say they don't want to reveal too much information, because the assault on Willis remains under investigation.

The gunman was caught on camera in the store's surveillance footage.

Police are still trying to figure out the name of the other man.
