ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dozens came out for the 19th Annual Southwest Georgia Regional Art Exhibition and Sale in downtown Albany.
The exhibition was put on by the Albany Area Arts Council. This was the second year the event was held at the arts council building, which allows the show to run for six more weeks.
There are 62 regional artists being featured in the competition.
This contest allows local artists a chance to show their work and it allows the community to purchase their art.
"It's a really important way for not only people who make art professionally but also for people who have normal jobs but also make art on the weekends," said Executive Director Nicole Williams.
The exhibition will be on display through July 25 at the Albany Area Arts Council which is located on North Jackson Street.
You can look at the art on display Monday through Thursday.
