VPD investigating after man says he was shot while driving

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police are investigating after a man said he was shot while driving early Monday morning.

Police said a 33-year-old man called 911 Monday morning around 2:30.

The man said while he was driving in the 3000 block of North Forrest Street, he was shot in the abdomen.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment and was unable to provide any suspect information.

"We do have some concerns about the information that we've been provided or not being provided in this case by the victim," said said Chief Brian Childress.
