LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Young men and women across Southwest Georgia will have the chance to play football with current and former Atlanta Falcons players this weekend in Lee County.

This will be the first time Former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Buddy Curry will bring his national football clinic to Southwest Georgia.

Kids ages 7 to 13 will be able to participate in the free one day camp, learning safe tackling techniques.

Parents will also learn how to recognize concussions.

Organizers said kids will learn life lessons as well.

"We need to show them the right way, the right path to take. That there's other options than going out in the streets, that you can find a way out through football, baseball, whatever it is. It doesn't have to be gangs or drugs or anything like that. We just want to keep it positive and let them know that they can come to us," said  Youth Football Coach Michael Hardy with Kids and Pros Football.

The camp will be on Sunday at Lee County High School from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

To register, visit the Kids and Pros website or pre-register before at the field by 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
