Jimmy Carter hosts murder mystery on SAM Shortline Railroad

CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn will host a murder mystery play in Cordele, on Saturday, June 16.

Guest participating in the mystery will put together clues leading to a crime.

The event will start on the  SAM Shortline Railroad titled Southern Ways and Means, and end at Carter’s Boyhood Farm.

Boarding begins at 3:00 pm with a 3:30 pm departure at the Veterans State Park in Cordele.

The beginning clues will start unfolding on the train, and the conclusion will be performed on Carter's farm over a barbeque dinner.

Proceeds from the event will benefit friends of the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site, Plains Better Hometown Program and the Historic SAM Shortline Railroad.

Seats are limited and required. Coach seats are $99.99 each and premium seats are $149.99 per person.
