ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Housing Authority hopes to have a new CEO in place by the end of the month.
The housing authority met Tuesday night to discuss the two new candidates they have coming in to interview for the job in a few days.
The new CEO will replace previous CEO Roman Velasquez, who died suddenly.
"We're in the process of a nationwide hunt for a new CEO, and we're pretty much narrowing it down probably May the 31. We should have a candidate we would be interested in hiring," said Interim Co CEO of the Albany Housing Authority Eric Mosley.
The housing authority also discussed possibly increasing maintenance charges. it decided to hold off on voting until next month's meeting, when they hope to have the new CEO present.
