ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany police are looking for the man who shot a woman inside a South Albany convenience store Tuesday morning.

Surveillance footage released by Albany police show the seconds leading up to the shooting inside the Brothers Corner Store around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

"We still have some minor leads we are following up on," explained Albany Police Chief Michael Persley.

Albany police said 32-year-old Andrea Willis was shot multiple times. Investigators believe she was targeted.

In the video, you can see Willis enters the store. You see a man who paces outside before following her in and drawing his gun.

Following the shooting, police said Willis was in critical condition.

"The main thing is somebody was assaulted with a firearm which is a big problem here in our city," said Chief Persley.

Persley said he's thankful more people weren't hurt.

"For someone to go inside a store and commit this type of crime and not even care about it, that's a problem," said Persley.

"From time to time there will be some problems, but it's not always individuals that reside in the area. Sometimes it's the individuals who come to the area," explained Albany business owner Georgia Brown.

Brown owns a business across the street from where the shooting happened.

Now, he's praying the violence dies down in Albany, while police search for a motive.

"We want to find the person who did this so we can bring them to justice," said Persley.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call the Albany Police Department Robbery-Homicide Unit at (229) 431-3288.

You can also call CrimeSTOPPERS at (229) 436-TIPS.
