BLAKELY, GA (WALB) - A fire investigator with the Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner's office is looking into the cause of a Early County house fire that killed a man.
The victim in the heavily damaged home located on Chipstead Avenue in Blakely, was 22-year-old Datavis Efford.
Fire investigators believe the 12:45 a.m Saturday blaze started in the rear of the home, according to Glenn Allen, Communication Director for the Georgia Department of Insurance, and State Fire Marshal's Office.
The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined.
The victim's body will be transported to the GBI crime lab for autopsy.
