ALBANY, GA (WALB) - With a high chance of flooding happening in the city, residents in low-level areas are taking precaution.
Residents on South Audubon Drive said they've seen flooding many times in the past.
This time they aren't expecting anything different.
Even with the rain we've had in the past couple days, they said they see spots covered in water.
The water sits on their lawns for days.
Being in such a low level, one resident says it's almost like a muggy swamp the way moisture sits around his home
"We're completely saturated like a full sponge, so it's just in their waiting. So anything we get this weekend is on top of kind of a saturated ground already," said Joshua Bower.
He said to prepare he is his making sure his lawn is cut low and bringing patio furniture to the inside.
Luckily, he said they've never had flood water to reach their home, but they have seen it come up past the curb in this area.
