TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Students at Coffee Middle School have better math test scores thanks to a new learning system.
School leaders said based on the success, the program will be seen in more grades.
Math 180 is a math intervention program that adjusts to the needs of struggling students.
The goal of the program is to bridge the gap between the concepts students have not learned to help move them to the next level.
"From the prior year and at the end of having one year of math 180, it was a reversal of totally of a pass and fail where students doubled passage rates compared to the failure rate as it was a year before," said Math 180 Teacher Kelly Hutto.
The county brought in the Math 180 program last year.
The program will be taught at Coffee High School in the fall.
