(WALB) - Several South Georgia schools have announced that they are moving their graduation ceremonies indoors as wet weather heads into the area.
Below is a list of schools that have made announcements.
Atkinson County Schools announced on Thursday that the Friday ceremony for Atkinson County High School will be held in the school gym at 8:00 p.m.
The school system posted the information on its Facebook page Thursday morning.
Because of State Fire Marshal requirements, seating will be limited to the graduates and their families/invited guests holding tickets.
The post says each graduate has been given 10 bleacher tickets and two floor tickets.
Clinch County High School also announced on Thursday that Friday's ceremony will be moved into the school's gymnasium.
The graduation ceremony will start at 8 p.m. and the gym will open at 6:30 p.m.
Because of the State Fire Marshal code, only attendees with tickets will be allowed inside. Tickets will not be available at the door.
The school did say that the ceremony will be live-streamed on Creekbox.
Lee County High School moved its Saturday graduation to the Albany Civic Center because of the expected inclement weather this weekend.
The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. at the civic center.
Balloons are not allowed within the civic center. Additionally, noise-making items such as air horns, portable loudspeakers and snapping devices are prohibited.
Valdosta High School's graduation ceremony will take place at the new VHS gym located at 4590 Inner Perimeter Road.
Graduates have been given six tickets each, and the ceremony will be live-streamed for free here.
Graduates should be at the gym by 5:30 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m. and the ceremony will start at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Worth County Board of Education announced that Worth County High School's Saturday ceremony was also moved because of weather concerns.
It will now take place at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Albany.
The church's address is 901 South Westover Boulevard.
Graduation will start at 9 a.m.
