CALHOUN CO., GA (WALB) -

Two people are facing charges for attempting to smuggle drugs into the Calhoun County State Prison.

This time the suspects led the officers on a chase before they were handcuffed.

It happened just after midnight Sunday morning.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office said two men were arrested after trying to shoot a bow and arrow with marijuana and cell phones tied to it through the drain pipe of the prison.

Deputies had seen a suspicious car by the wardens house that night.

When more deputies and an Arlington police officer got closer to the car, the car took off leading the sheriff on a high-speed chase around Morgan.

The driver even tried to stop short at one point, causing the sheriff's car to hit him.

Eventually, the deputies barricaded the driver and took him into custody.

"It sends a message that you know, y'all don't need to come down here," said Calhoun County Sheriff Josh Hilton. "But as long as they keep coming we'll keep battling."

Victory Nnoroum, 33, and Daniel Kim, 28, are facing several charges.

Both are from north Georgia.
