The Packers Golf team from Colquitt County was looking to take home the state title for the first time since 2006.
The Last round for the Class 7-A GHSA Golf Championship took place Tuesday in Moultrie at the Sunset Country Club.
Due to weather, the championship did not consist of two rounds.
Mill Creek, able to pull ahead and take home the 2018 class 7-A title.
But Colquitt County, still had a bright star shine on the final round and take home the low medalist. By the way, he's only a sophomore.
Tanner Brown is the first Colquitt County golfer to do so since annaligh kith back in 2009.
Brown says he's happy to accomplish this feat, but wishes his whole team could have taken home the trophy this year.
"Well it just means that, I have room for improvement, and that I have a big journey ahead of me."
Brown shot 70 for the round with 4 birdies and two bogeys.
Indeed a player to watch in the next two years.
First year head coach for the Pacers, Lee Wright, says of course he knows his golfers wanted first, but he was proud to see them play their hearts out.
