ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Former Dougherty District Attorney and Albany native Ken Hodges received the endorsement of a number of South Georgia law enforcement officials Monday.
Hodges is running for the non-partisan court of appeals seat in Tuesday's election.
Monday he held a press conference, backed by a number of District Attorneys and sheriffs across South Georgia.
Hodges said he has a strong relationship with South Georgia Law enforcement and wants to continue those relationships.
During the presser, he paused to honor longtime Lee County Police Chief Charles Moore who passed over the weekend.
"I want to take a minute to honor one of our law enforcement officers that we just lost, Chief Charles Moore, a good friend, the former chief of Leesburg. I worked with him many years. I send out my condolences to his family and to the folks of Leesburg," said Ken Hodges, former district attorney.
Hodges has worked with sheriffs officers for many years in different capacities.
He also said he is the only district attorney running for the court of appeals south of Macon.
