ALMA, GA (WALB) - Wednesday afternoon, Alma Police Department assisted the Bacon County Sheriff's Office with a 'burglary in-progress' call on Corinth Church Road.
A resident in the neighborhood noticed a would-be burglar outside of her home and alerted law enforcement.
Tim Taylor, 33 of Alma, took off from that location before officers arrived.
Teams of officers and deputies searched the nearby woods, and soon found Taylor, and apprehended him.
It was a joint effort by APD, the Bacon County Sheriff's Office, and a Ware State Prison K-9 team.
The sheriff charged Taylor with criminal trespass, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and possession of methamphetamine.
The homeowner's surveillance system captured a photo of Taylor outside of her home before he fled into the wooded area.
