On Thursday, Ryan Duke's defense attorneys asked for more time and a judge granted that continuance.

Grinstead was a former beauty queen and teacher that went missing in October of 2005

Duke was arrested and charged last year in connection with her disappearance.

The state said it is ready to go trial. The prosecution handed the Georgia Bureau of Investigation file over to the defense back in November.
