OCILLA, GA (WALB) -
Irwin County Indians Baseball team looking to make it to the Finals for the first time since 1997.
Indians have made it to the Final Four game for the first time in 20 years.
Drew Tankersley has coached the Indians further and further each of the four years he has reigned as head coach at Irwin County.
Last coach to take the Indians to a title, was coach Tankersley's father.
Now he is hoping he can leave his own mark here at irwin County.
"It means a lot, I think the players are hungry." said Irwin County Head Coach, Drew Tankersly. "I don't think they are satisfied with just making it to the final four. We've had several guys who played on the football team and came up short in state championships. I think this bunch is hungry to go all the way and win one."
Irwin County will face Telfair County in their Final Four match-up Wednesday afternoon.
