TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

Tift Regional Hospital hosted its 19th Annual Nanci Bowen Golf Tournament on Monday.

The charity event benefits the Tift Regional Health System's hospice and cancer patients.

Nanci Bowen is a Tifton native who started the event 18 years ago.

Organizers said that’s part of why they always have a good turn out.

“Everybody loves coming, being a part of it, and it is for helping others it’s not about us. It’s about helping others that need help,” said Director of Patient and Guest Services Louise Woodham.

Over the years, sponsors have raised over $600,000. They said they hope to reach $1 million in upcoming years.
