Friday was the grand opening of Bandit and the Babe, a unique women's boutique.

Owner Julia Temples is also the owner of ENVY, another women's fashion store in town but said Bandit and the Babe will have a different flare to it that Albany has never seen.

Temples opened her first store downtown 15 years ago and explained that moving back downtown during the revitalization was a no-brainer.

"But now that everyone is willing to give it another try, we wanted to be a big part of it," explained Temples.

The boutique is officially open and is located at 249 Pine Avenue, in Albany.
