DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) - Starting in August, students at Coffee High School can get a head start on a career in a pre-engineering program.
It's apart of Wiregrass Technical College's Dual Enrollment Program.
Students will learn a combination of mechanical, electronics, computer, telecommunications, systems and control engineering.
According to Wiregrass, students that attended Coffee County Schools saved over $850,000 in tuition and fees for the 2017, 2018 school year.
Mechatronics graduates can work in industries that specialize in high tech manufacturing.
Dual enrollment is no cost to the students and books are included.
