LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Lee County's elections supervisor says they are experiencing extremely low numbers for people coming out for early voting.
Veronica Johnson, Lee County's elections supervisor, said the numbers are disappointing and is encouraging everyone in the county to come out and cast their ballot.
In the last two weeks, they have only seen around 200 people, that's only 2 percent of the registered voters.
"We know those voters are out there and we know that they are eager to participate, we just want to remind them that we are here and open and ready for them to come," said Johnson.
If you haven't voted yet, you still have time.
The polls will be open Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. until election day which is May 22.
