ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State has made it to the 2018 Regional tournament after taking the SIAC by storm this season.

Heading into this week's first round with a slogan, we want the ring. Just a little something the Lady Rams want people to know, just how serious they are taking this.

Lady Rams finished the season with an undefeated 19 - 0 record in the SIAC.

The first time any lady Rams team has accomplished this feat in ASU history. A record that will stand forever.

The Lady Rams took on the SIAC tournament with force as they went 4 - 0, and took home the conference title.

ASU Baseball took home the conference title as well, making this the second time in ASU history that both softball and baseball were victorious in the same year.

Head coach Amber Barker said she is thrilled for her players, but they aren't done yet.

"It's huge, none of them have been there before." said Head Coach Amber Barker. "The last time ASU went was 2013. So, this is new for everybody. I've been once, but not even as a player. As an assistant coach and that was 10 years ago. It's pretty exciting, it's pretty huge especially with this team. With the mix of the newbies that we have, and the mix of the ones that haven't experienced it before."

Lady Rams will face Palm Beach Atlantic on May 10th at 6 P.M.
