CRISP CO., GA (WALB) -

Crews in Crisp County spent Wednesday setting up for a concert featuring a renowned country music artist.

Colt Ford will take the stage at Cypress Grill at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The whole community came together to put on the concert at no cost, so every single penny raised will go to the wife and daughter of Trooper Tyler Parker.

He was killed in a wreck in March, and his young daughter spent several weeks in the hospital recovering.

"He was a part of our community, and nobody has anything bad to say about Tyler," said Sarah Brown, marketing specialist with the City of Cordele. "So, there's sadness involved in it, and in the process, we're going to be able to go through those good memories of Tyler, too."

As of Wednesday afternoon, organizers had sold out around 300 VIP tickets.

General admission tickets are available for $20 at the door.

The concert starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Cypress Grill on Lake Blackshear.
