TIFTON, GA (WALB) - The Tift Regional Medical Center is moving forward on the development of a new app.
The hospital board approved over $145,000 to create the app, which includes features like pregnancy trackers and upcoming hospital events.
Chairman of the App Committee Chris Efaw said this will help patients find their way around the hospital.
"In addition to the 'wayfinding' feature, which we really feel will enhance our patient satisfaction, the new app will have other features such as a pregnancy tracking tool," said Efaw. "It'll also interact with our new patient portal system that we will be going live with on June 1."
Efaw said down the line they are also looking for the app to have ER wait times, patient education and prep instructions, online scheduling and more.
The app can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices.
It will be available in the next three to four months.
