LEE CO., GA (WALB) - The Lee County Lady Trojans were out holding practice Monday before they host the second round of the GHSA tournament against Greenbrier High School.
Lady Trojans finished the regular season with a 11-6 record and a 4-1 record in the region.
Currently ranked at number 50 in the nation, The Lady Trojans took the number one seed and took down Brunswick High in the first round with a 7-2 victory.
The Lady Trojans finished last year in the final four which was the farthest in the schools history, but this year, they are looking for more.
"Well we hope we can repeat that run." said head coach Dave Beltenberger. "That would be awesome. We've got the team to do it, we just gotta take it one round at a time. So, tomorrow will be a tough test but, we got a really good defense. If we can hold them and sneak one in then we can make it happen."
Lee County will host Greenbrier high tomorrow at Lee County's football stadium at 5:30 P.M.
