THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A Scott Elementary School teacher got a big surprise Friday when someone decided to honor her as their personal "superhero."

Everfan in Thomasville makes superhero kits.

Faith Shiver has nominated other people before, so she was shocked to learn she was being recognized.

"I was so shocked when they were like we have one more person in the room that gets superhero and they read this super nice letter and it was about me and I'm just so excited. I'm just shocked. I'm happy I have my own cape now," said Shiver.

Saturday is National Superhero Day.

The company is inviting people to come out and make superhero bracelets, write letters to deployed soldiers and pack superhero boxes.

It will be at the business which is located at 623 East Clay Street in Thomasville from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
