CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - Pro tennis players from across the world will be in Camilla this weekend playing the sport for a cause.

The Mitchell County Tennis Center is holding the 43rd Annual Mitchell County Pro Tennis Invitational.

This is the largest tournament of its kind in Georgia bringing in $1.5 million to the city.

Nearly $300,000 has been raised for charities like the Mitchell Boys & Girls Club, the Mitchell-Baker ARC and many more.

"It has grown with the community over the years and these charities that we've served over the years probably couldn't exist without the financial support that they receive from this tournament," said Tennis Tournament staff Dan Bollinger.

The three-day event includes a Pro Tennis Team Invitational with the pros facing off on Friday and Saturday.

Matches begin in the morning at 8:30 a.m. into the afternoon.

The Sunday finals will begin at 9:30 a.m. with all events free to the public.
