ALBANY, GA (WALB) - On Friday, young students in Dougherty County got a hands-on look at different jobs they might want to do when they grow up.
Sherwood Acres Elementary School hosted its annual Career Day.
It featured more than 36 presenters in 17 different career clusters which included the fields of agriculture, health science and government.
School Counselor Raymonica Davis said the event helps the students find a path they can strive toward throughout their school years.
"They have options," Davis explained. "So, they'll know if there's something they're interested in, or if their parents are in some of the different occupations, they'll see exactly what it is that their parents are doing."
The students also got to see some familiar faces from WALB News 10.
