One Lowndes High School student is making his way to New York City to compete in a "Shark Tank" style competition put on by the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.

Cedric Montgomery placed first in the Valdosta competition with his bee farming business that makes honey and donates ten percent of its proceeds to bee research.

It's called "Bee the Change Farms."

The next round of competitions will be in Rochester, New York.

"This very moment I'm probably very nervous thinking about the competition as it gets closer and closer. But I just try my best and hope for the best possible outcome," explained Montgomery.

Montgomery said he is truly humbled by the entire experience. He will leave next Wednesday, taking his mother and one of his mentors with him.

Montgomery encourages any student who has a dream to chase it because you never know what it could turn into.
