ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Several South Georgia counties will celebrate Georgia Cities Week, starting Monday, April 23 through Saturday, April 28.

This year's theme is "Georgia's Cities in the Spotlight."

The purpose of this week is to give cities an opportunity to share information about the valuable services cities provide to residents and how cities positively impact their quality of life.

This week is also an opportunity to celebrate community achievements and recognize volunteers and city employees.
