ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Hundreds filled the Albany Exchange Club Fairgrounds Saturday, for a night of music and dance.

Young Buck Entertainment hosted its 2nd annual Southern Soul Music Festival.

The festival highlighted soul music artists, food, and entertainment for more than 700 music lovers.

Organizers said they doubled attendance this year because of the artists.

They said last year's audience chose who they wanted to hear for this year's concert, and organizers listened.

"We want to bring good quality music to this area. Everyone doesn't necessarily like the hip hop or the rap so we wanted to reach a different audience. A more mature audience, artist who have really been in the game for a long time, we want to bring them back to give good quality music to the area," Rashaunda Muldrow, Production Manager at Young Buck Entertainment.

Now that the event is over, the Entertainment group will begin plans for next year's Southern Soul Music Fest.
