LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) - A search warrant at a Lowndes County home led to an arrest and the seizure of several drugs and thousands of dollars.
On Tuesday, investigators with the Special Operations Division of the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant in the 900 block of Worth Avenue that stemmed from information during an investigation that the occupants of the home were selling drugs.
During the search, investigators found a pound of powder cocaine, 50 grams of crack cocaine, about 1000 MDMA pills, about two pounds of marijuana, about $74,000 in cash and a loaded firearm.
Meaco Webb was arrested and is now facing several charges including trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in MDMA, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The case is being presented to the United States Attorney's Office in Macon for federal prosecution due to the extent of the charges and Webb's history.
