ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Yancey Brothers Company wants South Georgians to know about a South Georgia Technical College program that will put graduates into one of the most in demand and high paying job fields right now.
South Georgia Technical College has a diesel tech program partnered with Yancey Caterpillar dealers that help a graduate finish the 20-month program without owing any money and provide $5,000 worth of tools to start work.
If the applicant is sponsored by a Caterpillar dealer, they spend eight weeks in class at South Georgia Tech and then eight weeks working and earning a salary to pay their school expenses.
"When they graduate, they graduate with a job," said Yancey Brothers Company Recruiter Jeff Cornwell. "Not only not owing anything, but they graduate with a job. All they got to do is finish. Then they build a career from there."
Cornwell said they need as many graduates of the program as South Georgia Tech can produce.
Diesel techs are in high demand and the pay is excellent.
If you or someone you know is interested in the diesel tech program, you can apply for it here, or you can call Jeff Cornwell at (770) 819-5286.
