THOMAS CO., GA (WALB) - A man banished from Thomas County led deputies on a chase Tuesday night that ended with him behind bars, facing new charges.
In an incident report, Thomas County Sheriff's Office deputies said they were patrolling West Clay Street when they saw Marco Johnson driving up the road on a scooter.
The sheriff's office said Johnson has two felony warrants, two misdemeanor warrants and he had been banished from the district.
When deputies tried to pull Johnson over, they said Johnson ran a stop light and eventually wrecked his scooter on Loomis Street. Johnson tried to run but was arrested a short distance later.
Johnson is now charged with obstruction of an officer in addition to his warrants.
