TIFTON, GA (WALB) - The first ever Agricultural Road Show took place at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus on Tuesday.
The one-day workshop teaches economic developers and local chamber officials about all the resources available to agricultural businesses.
Agriculture is the number one business in Georgia and officials hope they understand what resources are available for them to take back and help their local communities.
"So what we've learned over the last several years is that in the agricultural community, we are really good about talking to each other and understanding who does what amongst ourselves in that community," said Director of Innovation and Agricultural Business Chris Chammoun. "But, a lot of our economical developers don't usually know what resources are out there to help their local businesses."
Organizers plan to have another event in Macon later this week.
