Even the internet doesn't want in on the 'hot coil challenge' after watching this guy. (Source: YouTube)
(RNN) – The hot coil challenge is not a fad. It’s one guy.
A fad is when a large group of people – like the nation’s teenagers, or GenXers – are enthusiastic about something as a group. Like the Ice Bucket Challenge, slap bracelets, DigiPets, or velour sweatsuits.
The internet wants you think the next Tide Pod Challenge is burning yourself on the heated coils of a stove. Headlines like “Hot coil challenge is newest, dangerous fad” or “Hot coil challenge is the latest online trend” are rising to the top of Google searches.
Fellow humans of Earth – everyone is sharing the same video of one guy who filmed his stupidity a month ago. One. Guy. Not multiple people. One dude in his kitchen.
The only fad here is how the internet is elevating one guy’s idiocy.
