ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Kids at one Albany daycare were treated to a special visitor Tuesday.

Camo, a service dog, spent time with the children at Phoebe Family Tree as part of a lesson about what service dogs do.

Camo helps Navy veteran, Larry Barfield, cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Barfield wants to educate the public and children about service dogs.

Camo was trained and purchased with money from Barney's Run for Warriors

"There are more and more service dogs in public now and it's good for the kids to be aware of the service dogs and also know how to approach them and understand what the dog's purpose is," said Pam Barfield, Larry's wife.

This year's Barney's Run for Warriors race will be held at the Marine Corps Logistics Base on November 18.
