Albany police identify, search for suspect in violent robbery by snatching

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany police have issued arrest warrants for Jermaine Monson, 32, in connection with a robbery by snatching that badly injured a 71-year-old woman.

Police are charging Monson with aggravated assault and robbery by snatching. 

Police said Carol Harper is still in the hospital after she was knocked down and injured on Thursday when a man snatched her purse in the 300 block of South Slappey.  

Harper suffered a broken arm and broken leg.

Police are asking that anyone with information about Monson or his location call the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-3288.
