ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Coalition for Georgia's Elderly has announced their top legislative priorities for the 2018 session for state lawmakers.
They said their perennial request is for increased funding for home and community-based services and to keep seniors in their homes as long as possible.
Advocates are also requesting state legislators further enable Medicaid programs to pay for assisted living in a broader way by increasing the number of facilities and strengthen health and safety requirements for all personal care homes in Georgia with tougher sanctions and higher penalties.
