ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A Lee County man was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to a violent armed robbery in Albany last year.

Collin Donaldson, 18, pled guilty Monday to the armed robbery of the Oasis Convenience store on South Slappey in October 2016.

Surveillance video shows on a Sunday night about 10 p.m., two masked men with guns burst in. They pointed guns in the faces of the clerks, demanding money.

Two female customers stood with their hands in the air while the robber took a handful of cash and made the clerk put it in a plastic bag.

The robbers ran, but witnesses helped police catch them in just minutes.

Donaldson was given a 20-year total sentence, 15 in prison.

Prosecutors said his two accomplices were Xavier Winbush, 24, and Peter Quintanilla, 18.  Winbush pled guilty in June and was also sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Quintanilla is pending trial, possibly in September.
