VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A family is looking for answers in the death of their loved one at the Valdosta State Prison.

Department of Corrections officials confirmed that Anthony Hann Jr. was found unresponsive in his cell Monday night around 10 p.m.

Hann's family said they have reached out countless times to the warden of the prison to try and find out the cause of death, but have had no success.

They also said they were told simply that he died and that there was an ongoing investigation.

Hann's fiancé Ashley Solis said that the explanation that was given just isn't enough.

“Y'all just need to give us some answers, because we need some closure, this is not right, this is not right by all means,” said Solis.

Coroner Austin Fiveash said there will be an autopsy done in Macon in the morning.
