Grady County commissioners have tentatively adopted a millage rate of 14.65 mills.

This would increase property taxes by just over 14 percent.

This proposed tax increase means a home that's worth about a $100,000 will see an increase of about $70, and for non-homestead property worth $250,000 would see an increase of approximately $180.

The final public hearing will be held August 17 at 6 p.m.

Commissioners will also finalize the budget at that meeting.
