Irwin Co. woman indicted for insurance fraud

OCILLA, GA (WALB) - A woman who the state says gave false documents for an in jury claim in 2015 was indicted Monday in Ocilla.

Pamela Frazier was arrested in May of 2016, for Felony Insurance Fraud, Forgery in the First Degree, False and Misleading Statements to obtain workers' compensation benefits, and Violation of Oath of Office.

The Irwin County Grand Jury indicted Frazier on all the counts.

At the time of her arrest, Frazier was working as a correctional officer at the LaSalle Correctional Institute in Ocilla.

The state claims Frazier filed a workers' compensation claim in December of 2015, and altered medical documents relating to the injury and presented them to her employer to get additional time off work.

To report suspected workers' compensation fraud or an employer with no workers' compensation insurance coverage you can call the State Board of Workers' Compensation's Enforcement Division at (404) 657-7285 or file a complaint on-line.
